The whole front ready.
A full canvas is the assembled heart of a tailored jacket: front canvas, chest and shoulder reinforcements and felt, layered, shaped and stitched into a singlepre-formed front. Building one by hand takes hours of
skilled, repetitive work — cutting, layering, pad-stitching — before the actual garment has even begun.
In-Tailoring full canvases arrive with that work already done, to the construction logic Cobas
has refined for the high end of the industry. What reaches your bench is a front with the layers balanced,
the chest shaped and the roll prepared — ready to be adapted to your pattern and finished by your hand
Function
Hours of preparation already inside
The full canvas runs from shoulder to hem across the entire front of the jacket. It carries the chest, sets the lapel roll, and lets the cloth drape over a structure instead of hanging from a seam — the defining difference of a canvassed garment.
