Shoulder pad— spalline
The quiet architecture of the shoulder: layered wadding, shaped and ready, that sets the line every other line of the jacket descends from.

The component
Where every jacket begins its line.
The shoulder is the first thing the eye reads on a jacket — and the shoulder pad is what draws
it. Layered from wadding and felt, curved to sit over the shoulder point, it balances the wearer’s natural
slope and gives the sleeve head something true to hang from.
In-Tailoring shoulder pads are formed to the curvatures Cobas has developed across decadesof industrial construction: consistent thickness, stable shape, and a symmetry you can trust pair after pair
— because nothing betrays a garment faster than two shoulders that don’t match.
Function
Balance for the shoulder.
The shoulder pad sits between canvas and cloth at the shoulder seam. It corrects slope, cleans the line from collar to sleeve, and supports the sleeve head — decisions that define the silhouette before a single button is placed.
Designed to define, lift or widen the shoulder line, it improves thefit of the garment and optically corrects posture.
The range
One component. Different levels of structure.
A
Natural
Thin and supple: the barely-there pad for soft, Neapolitan-leaning shoulders.
Structure I/III
B
Classic
The balanced standard: clean line, honest thickness, universal fit.
Structure II/III
C
Structured
Fuller build for formal shoulders and coats that ask for architecture.
Structure III/III
Specifications
The essentials.
A shoulder pad is specified by shape as much as by thickness — and by how faithfully both repeat across an order.
Symmetry is the discipline of the shoulder: our pads are formed in matched pairs so that the leftshoulder you press is the mirror of the right — on every garment, in every order
